APRIL 29, 2023 – conducted by SRM Medical Health Science – 270 aluminous meet together – The grand MHS Alumni Meet was inaugurated by our honourable Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor (Academics). Our beloved Dr. Lt. Col. A. Ravikumar, Pro- Vice Chancellor, Medical & Health Sciences, SRMIST addressed all the alumni attending and congratulated them on their success. The welcome address was given by Dr. U. Ganapathy Sankar, MHS- Alumni Coordinator, Dean, SRM College of Occupational Therapy, SRMIST. The MHS Alumni Meet Souvenir was released by our honourable Dr. S. Ponnusamy, Registrar, SRMIST and received by Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor
(Academics) in the presence of all honourable dignitaries. Dr. A. Rathinam, Director, Directorate of Alumni Affairs, SRMIST addressed the vote of thanks to all the committee members and participants.
DECEMBER 23 2023 conducted by SRM Institute Of Science And Technology & Directorate Of Alumni Affairs, SRMIST – Alumni Day – 100+ registrations from Kattankulathur, Ramapuram campus. The magnanimous event had a total of interactive meet & greet session from our Illustrious alumni provided an excellent platform for networking and sharing experiences about their home coming to campus.
Grand cultural event was presented by the students where they gave their extravagant performances in singing and dancing as a way of welcoming the alumni, creating a nostalgia where they all could recollect their own fun filled college cultural days at the same Dr. T.P. Ganesan auditorium. All the performances where highly enjoyed and cheered by the crowd.
The Alumni Award Ceremony, In recognition of their outstanding contributions to their respective fields, 3 alumni Dr. Joseph Sunny, Honorary Secretary, All India Occupational Therapists Association, Dr. Lakshmanan, Senior Occupational Therapist, NIMHANS, and Mrs. Daisy Swapna, Senior Occupational Therapist were awarded the distinguished alumni award.

Like any alumnus of SRMIST, I always feel that, am very lucky to be a student of this prestigious alma-mater. The time at SRMIST was one of the best in my life. This institution has given me unforgettable impressions. This institution extracted the mettle in me. Fests, organizations and extra-curricular activities organized by the college increased my exposure and made me confident and helped me a lot in striving and becoming what I am today. I am Lakshman, currently practicing Occupational Therapy at the St. Jones Hospital and the Executive editor in charge at IJOT, yet I feel privileged to be associated as a proud alumnus of SRM College of Occupational Therapy which helped me root my foundations in this profession. A college that provided me with a sound infrastructure and dedicated staff who always focused on imparting the best of what they could. One of the things that have never let go of the enthusiasm is the versatility of this field- I could practice in a wide range of settings and continue to utilise the skills that I have acquired. My studies have not only equipped me with knowledge and skills for the profession of Occupational Therapy, but also fostered my personal growth and shaped the person I am today.
I am S.Jagadeesh, Occupational therapist and own Sivashakthi Child Development Center at Theni. I am so fortunate to be in 1st batch of SRM COLLEGE OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY(1996). It has good faculty with wide experience in mentoring Occupational therapist. I feel that this is one of the best OT college in Tamil Nadu with better infrastructure and clinical exposure for students.

The OT curriculum is highly grounded in practical competences. The institution gave me opportunity to explore the course and engage with other students.
